Waiting for Homes

Corporal Klinger

thumbnail (2).jpg

Anyone reading this over the age of 40? Remember the hit show, MASH? It aired from 1972 until 1983. Corporal Klinger was a character on the series. Appropriately named, Corporal Klinger, the cat version of the character on MASH, is Wiley and hysterical when he wants to be. He’s a cute, sweet cuddly baby who wants to invade your space and be best buds. Chilling on the sofa watching your favorite program? “Corp” will gladly sit beside you and watch, too! The most used descriptive word used to describe Corp, is “sweet.” Who doesn’t want a sweet fella b.f.f.!?

IMG_4121.JPG

Jax

This middle-aged man somehow pulls you in, even while he standing quietly dignified in the background. Jax was brought to us by a concerned citizen who found him trying to get into someone’s home. His daintily handsome features caused him to look out of place on Yeadon’s streets. His demeanor puts you in mind of a child that has been misunderstood and neglected. His small meow make you feel like he is unaware that he is worthy of warmth, kindness and love. Jax will thrive in a quiet but attentive home where he can sit beside his human(s) enjoying his pets and scratches while watching TV, or lie close to you in bed, looking forward to another day in heavenly bliss….with you?

Max-adopted

Can you imagine how cute Max was as a kitten with those enormous, longing eyes and that pouty lower lip!? He must have been a lady killer in his Upper Darby surroundings. Appearing out of nowhere, he hesitantly came upon a small colony being fed by their caretaker, immediately rubbing up against her legs and bonding with her. She called us and the rest is history. Max is quiet and quite content laying inside a cat cave wiling the hours away dreaming about the day he will be apart of a family of his own. Playful, energetic and mischievous, now you see him. Well, actually, you don’t see him until you are tripping over him. A graduate of the Cheshire Cat Club, he seemingly appears out of the blue, staring up at you with his clear, green eyes.

Luke

Luke is a shy, playful, cuddle monster! It takes him some time to warm up, but once he is warm, look out! He with rub against you, give nose kisses, lay in your lap and soak up your love! He is one of six kittens taken in from Union Avenue in Lansdowne. Two sisters and a brother have been adopted. He and his sister, Annalee (below) are the last two to go! you know what they say....The best is yet to come. They are it, the best of the best! Luke can be adopted alone or with his sister Annalee. They have weathered the storm together, but they can get through life alone. Either way, Luke is precious and waiting for you to whisk him away! He is 1 year old sometime in June. He has been neutered, tested Neg/neg for FeLV & FIV, flea treated and dewormed.

IMG_4357.jpg

Annalee

Annalee is simply endearing! She is sweet and loving and very much the extrovert in comparison to her brother, Luke (above). In fact, adopting them both together could give you a love overdose! Annalee is as loving as her brother. Though they will, indeed prosper as only cats, they are so very good together. They are adorable when the snuggle together for a nap, or give one another a bath. They play nice together or apart. Annalee has been vetted and tested , flea treated and dewormed. All she needs now is a safe place in which to make biscuits and you!

IMG_4115.JPG

Morty-adopted

If you can’t tell from his picture, Morty is a relaxed and amiable young man from Chester, Delaware County. At foster with others cats and dogs of all sizes, he seems unfazed by the seemingly chaotic environment he currently calls home. Morty makes himself at home and participates willingly in all the days events. Whether on the catio or lazily sprawled out in front of a window, Morty is a calm, cool and collected dude waiting for you to make him a part of your life!

IMG_4060.jpg

Nike-adopted

Just look at that face! And, this guy has a personality to match! Nike is a young, vibrant, handsome guy from West Philly. Yet another nice kitty trying to get into his feeder’s door. Loud noises and quick motions create discomfort for Nike. He must have had a harrowing experience on the street. At home, he is relaxed and adores being pet. He likes to walk back and forth or sit up against you while being pet. You’ll always have a buddy if you take Nike home!

Maggie

This hesitantly warm and accepting little girl is Maggie! No picture can provide an adequate depiction of the fabulous coiling swirls on her beautiful lush, brown coat! Maggie is quiet, coy, cautious, yet if you move slowly towards he chin, she is whole-heartedly accepting of your touch. Embrace her and you will find a fur baby that desires the love and attention she was deprived her during her short life as a clan member of the West Philly Alley Gang. Maggie wants you to know that she has put that life behind her and is ready to turn over a new leaf! Maybe you can be the one to assist her in writing the next pages in her journey through life!

IMG_4162.jpg

Willow-adopted

Willow was in her third trimester, scavenging food in a filthy alley in West Philly. Most likely dumped because she was pregnant, she was out there fending for herself. Once in rescue, Willow was found to be cute, cuddly and demure. She has been fully vetted and would be grateful to have a home of her own.

IMG_4166.jpg

Carmella-adopted

Carmella was found in her second trimester, wandering the streets of Overbrook. She was tired and hungry and sweet. She came right up to the trap and allowed pets. She loves to be held and cuddled and kissed! Once in foster, aside from the untrusting hiss at the other cats there, she blended right in. Carmella would love a safe and cozy space to curl up into.

IMG_4261.jpg

Lucky-adopted

Please, do not judge me by my formal wear, for I am but a tuxedo cat. I came from the streets of West Philly where it’s tough getting by in such formal attire. While I am quiet and reserved, and a bit shy, I am by no means “feral,” nor am I aggressive. In actuality, I have been trying to impress upon my trapper that I am fierce and will not be man-handled. Alas, it is not working because she has seen through my exterior armor. And, though I continue to hiss, I simply cannot stop loving the pets she bestows upon me. My paws give me away as they “make biscuits” for the love of pets and scratches. Ugh! My cover is blown. I will be transported to a foster this week and groomed for adoption. Hence, she named me Lucky since I was scheduled for release if no one came forward to foster me. Only time will tell if my name fits my circumstances

Parker-adopted

Hi! I'm Parker. Great to meet you! A couple of weeks ago my family moved. They put me in a storage bin and left me outside. a couple of concerned neighborhood ladies saw me and called for help. Now, I am in foster care waiting for someone to take me home and to keep me forever. I'm a pretty chill guy. I want to make friends, but some of the other cats aren't interested. That makes me sad. if you have a cat already, I would love to have a buddy to pal around with!

I am around a year old. I've been neutered, vaccinated, flea treated and dewormed.

IMG_4116.JPG

Sunshine-adopted

Quiet, sweet, apprehensive at first, Sunshine is yet another West Philly alley wanderer. This skinny little girl is happy to be held and loved. She just eats it up! Plenty of purrs are your reward. Although with us only a short time, she has made a huge impact on her surroundings. We can definitely see her with school-aged children, not because she would be horrible with toddlers, but because loud quick movements scare her. So, come and get some sunshine, while the getting is good!

Cricket-adopted

IMG_4125.JPG
thumbnail.jpg

Cricket is a doll! He is both playful  and rambunctious and comfortable and cuddly. When he wants your attention, he will come to you and let you know with a soft meow. Cricket was easily trapped. He simply smelled food  and ran right into the trap. he was so friendly, he didn't care that he could not escape. He just continued to eat and nourishment! Cricket has been fixed, vaccinated, flea treated and tested double negative for FIV and FeLV. He is really a wonderful young man, approximately 1-1/2 years old. He would be a great addition to a family with children or one with another cat about his age.

Parsnip-adopted

thumbnail (1).jpg

What can be said about Parsnip to do him justice? He is just adorable! He has a dynamic personality and is accepting of pretty much anything. In fact, he was so friendly that he just came along for the ride, pretty much. he is cuddly and cozy and a complete nut at times...running from one end of the house to the other! He gets along with the vast majority of cats at the rescue and particularly well with Cricket (above). They run, jump, ply, spar, for hours on end! It's like having a you tube video on play all day. No need for TV. Parsnip is fixed, vaccinated, flea treated and negative for both FIV and FeLV. He is always ready to go! So, come and get this cutie pie and make him part of your life!

Porcelain-adopted

Pure white and pleasant to look at ,Porcelain is as sweet as honey. Her eyes are reminiscent of those of a porcelain doll's glass eyes. Big and shiny, they seem to glow. She is a front paw polydactyl which means she has an extra toe that makes her look like she has hands! Smooth, soft and silky, she is inviting to the touch. Porcelain is approximately 7 months old, a blossoming beauty. Porcelain gets along with other cats and children 7and up. Like most cats, she is timid around quick movement and loud noises.  She has been vetted, chipped and tested negative for both FIV & FeLV.

Lacey-adopted

Lacey is a doll. Warm, affectionate, cuddly and vocal. She can get along with other cats, but would prefer keeping her distance. She could be with or without children, either way se would be ok. thumbnail (4).jpg

Cagney-adopted

Cagney is sharp! Especially where food is concerned! She is also sweet and cuddly and independent. A bossy little tux looking for a forever home!  Cagney tolerates other cats. She is often found sleeping adjacent to another foster or hanging on the catio with some of the crew.

IMG_20220710_075743_2.JPG

Greyceanne

Greyceanne is a young female who has blossomed during her time in foster care. She was emaciated and seemingly depressed. However, As you can see, she is slim but healthy looking and ready to pack it in and live with her furever family. children over the age of 6 would be more up her alley. While she is friendly and attentive to your desire to pet her, she prefers to be a beside the lap cat, purring her way into heavenly bliss. Independent and smart, Greyce actually lets you know when she wants your attention....she will burst out a MEEEOOOW! and start rubbing against everything in sight!

thumbnail (3).jpg

Fresca-adopted

Fresca is a hot momma! According to her savior, for the last 6 years she has has litter after litter, but none to show for it. When she finally agreed to come indoors, she decided it was where she wanted to stay! Not a fan of other cats, and definitely alpha gal, she would very much like to be an only child. A generally quiet family with teens would be a great fit for this gal who has been waiting a long time for a place of her own!

Lady.jpg

Lady-adopted

Lady is a young lady...quiet, demure and calm. She likes to sit quietly in a spot, alone, with no one to bother her. However, human touch will awaken a purr. Lady is a good girl who would prefer being alone, rather than with a few cats, which is her current situation. She would make a wonderful companion for someone just starting out on their own! Although, Lady does give the impression that she will make the most of any situation.

Henry Sansom

This cutie pie is Henry and he is so ready for a forever home! He gets along with humans and other cats. He is an all around agreeable guy just waiting to cuddle up against you and give you some lovin'!

IMG_2215.jpg

Penny Pentrdge

Penny was rescued from an abandoned house she was trapped in for months. I not for a Good Samaritan's call. Apparently, the neighbors were doing what they could for her and upon her release they called for help. Penny was emaciated but in good spirits after getting out of her prison. We took her in and vetted her. she is spayed, vaccinated, flea treated microchipped and tested double negative for FeLV and FIV. Somewhat shy and fearful, she comes around quickly when shown love and affection. She literally cannot wait for a forever home!

IMG_2177.jpg

Ralphie Ogden

This handsome boy loves humans, pets and talking! Having come from a colony, only to be found friendly, we are pretty sure he gets along with other cats, or at the very least, tolerates them. He has been fully vetted, tested Neg/Neg for FeLV and FIV and is ready to go!

Miss Georgia is a, "drama queen," says her foster. She is independent and likes her space. She's instinctively territorial and wont share her food or water bowl with anyone else. Yet, she has a loving and playful side when she wants to.

Brooklyn

Brooklyn is cute, cuddly & quiet. She is her sisters opposite. They would actually make a great pair, one alpha and one more passive baby. Brooklyn and all her siblings get along well and they all get along with their foster's other kitten siblings, Carson and Carter.

Carson Is a trip! From the day he came to our rescue, he has been a flurry of activity. pushing, playing, prodding and climbing. We had a heck of a time getting a picture of him! He and Carter are siblings and have very different personalities. we'd love to see them go as a pair or paired up with one of their brown tabby friends!

Screenshot_20220724-173538.png

Carter-adopted

Carter is brother to Carson. His nick name is "the professor." Apparently he is studious and a little bossy? Isn't that what a big brother is supposed to be? Carter does have a playful side and he is very engaging, in fact, both brothers are! though they are brothers, they are not necessarily bonded. they have been in foster care with the Fantastic Four, so those who are bonded are not always siblings.

Piper, Pippa and Pippin are social dynamos! No stop-action,

they seem to fear nothing! They love interaction with their human. Talking, purring, pet-loving babies.

Piper is the smallest and very sweet. When its time for a nap, she can be found suckling on her humans' shirt.

Pippa, appropriately named since she is a pip, can play alone of with others. She is very curious and nosey.

The only boy, Pippin, romps and play fights with his new friend Parsnip. He is a big baby, milking his cuteness for all it's worth.
