Our Story
Founded in 2022 by Havertown, Pennsylvania resident Lauren Warner, Lauren’s Lost Cats is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare group dedicated to improving the lives of abandoned cats in the Greater Philadelphia area. We are funded exclusively by private donations.
Our mission is to humanely reduce the number of cats living on the streets by finding permanent homes for adoptable individuals from outdoor colonies or brought to the rescue’s attention. We are active in Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) efforts.
TNR is a humane and non-lethal approach to community cat population control. In this comprehensive management plan, healthy free-roaming cats are sterilized and vaccinated, then returned to their habitat in the care of at least one community member.
Lauren’s Lost Cats found forever homes for 70 cats in 2023 and 89 cats in 2024. We are hoping to increase that number even further in 2025.
